The Good News: Brandy’s fifth Solo Disc gives us a better vocal and musical production. Her lower register is just on point. I cannot get over it because it just blares through my speakers whenever I am listening to it. This disc lyrically is one of the best in 2008 by a Female hands down. She talks about various topics, from missing that special someone to being a a relationship by yourself even if you are with someone. Her songs are so deep and to go with these extraordinary lyrics are good beats and the incredible emotion her voice provides. This is the most vintage Brandy since “Full Moon” and “Never Say Never”.
The Bad News: She only has really fast song on here and even in the middle it is bordering on a midtempo. It’s called “1st and Love” . Sometimes the songs can sound the same just a little. I guess it all depends on a listener’s ear because I can tell the differences but I have a very good ear because one of my friends said that some of her songs some similar, so that’s really a personal thing.
Standout Tracks: Long Distance, True, Warm it Up (With Love), 1st and Love, Camouflage and Fall.
Go get it, you will not be disappointed trust me

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Britney Spears is back on top of the BillBoard Charts. The Princess of pop is back. According to Billboard.com Ms. Spears has sold over 500,000 copies of her latest “Circus” album and this has to be one of the biggest openings for a female this year. Britney’s first week totals have trumped Beyonce’, Mariah, Dido, Janet Jackson, Danity Kane, Day 26, Kanye West, Ludacris……I mean the list goes on and on. But the test will be her second week sales. We will have to see if she will sell another solid number because the trend has been to have a good first week and then basically fall down during the second week…..Also her single Circus (which is the second cut off the new album) debuted at #3 on the BillBoard Hot 100 today. Rounding out the top five are Taylor Swift #2, Beyonce #3, Kanye West #4 and Nickelback #5

Yes!!!!! Ya’ll know you all used to live for her, I mean never say never and Full Moon were everything……She is back and sounding better than ever. I have noticed an incredible change in her lower vocal register. And my girl is singing her face on these tracks. If you saw the BET special she had on last night it was incredible and I feel it was a good way for her to promote the new disc……And it was also about time to see someone else doing some type of Promotion for there album who is a chick in the R&B game…..I mean when Beyonce comes out it’s like the lesser R&B girls, ex: Ciara, Keyshia Cole, Monica, Mya all seem to run and hide……Keyshia’s album is coming out next week and I have seen no performances promoting her new stuff besides on her show…..So is Brandy the only one not scared?????!!!!

Ok!!!!!! So the Grammy nominations were posted a while ago and to my dismay, I did not see Leona Lewis nominated for the Best New Artist category. But the Jonas Brothers were nominated……I am so Fucking Pissed about this because it is utterly ridiculous. I mean REALLY The Jonas Brothers over Leona Lewis……..I am OUTRAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UUUUUUggggggghhhhhhhh This is a tragedy within the industry. Real talent must mean nothing anymore. The Jonas Brothers are just here and now where as Leona is a true musical Legend in the making!!!!!! I have posted two video Clips of live performances so you can hear the talent from both acts……
