Scary Fact: STD’s on the Rise in America!!!!! :(
Sexually Transmitted Diseases are on the rise in these United States of America. The biggest target is in Atlanta Georgia. I was reading an article earlier and this is a scary story because at the rate that Sexually Transmitted Diseases were spreading in the first place, with this new study the general public needs to heed these numbers. Here are some quotes from the article,
The increase in chlamydia, a sometimes symptomless infection that can lead to infertility in women, is likely because of better screening, experts said. In 2007, there were 1.1 million cases, the most ever reported, said officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
At least 15,000 women become infertile each year because of untreated chlamydia and gonorrhea infections, said Dr. John M. Douglas Jr., director of the CDC’s Division of STD Prevention.
Chlamydia can infect men, but rates are nearly three times higher for women. That’s at least partly due to 1993 federal recommendations that emphasize testing for sexually active women age 25 and under. That focus on screening in recent years is no doubt driving the record numbers, said Dr. Jonathan Zenilman, a professor of infectious diseases at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
The latest case numbers for chlamydia translate to a rate of 370 cases per 100,000 people in 2007, up 7.5 percent from 2006.
The reported cases are just part of the picture. Health officials believe as many as 2.8 million Americans get chlamydia each year.
Very interesting, right? I mean at this rate by the year 2015 everyone will have or have had an STD. People please protect yourselves at all times and wrap it up with a condom because a few minutes of pleasure is most definitely not worth a lifetime of pain.
Man tries to take what is rightfully his????
In California, a man that was upset and emotionally abused his girlfriend, tried to take back a present he gave her. The kicker is this present was inside of her. This present was her breast implants….I mean people what is going on in this world today? This man stabbed his girlfriend in the breast several times in order to take the implants out of her. Who does things like this? Why are we stabbing people in the breast to seek revenge in 2009. Thomas Lee Rowley, 28, attacked his former lover back in 2006 outside of her mothers own home. This is such a crazy story people…I mean really, this man was quoted as saying “I’m going to cut them out and get them back”. Crazy!!!!!!!!!

Taylor Swift has continued her most impressive run at the top of the Billboard 200 album chart by staying there for her eighth week…OMG I am really not surprised at this point because January has really been a slow musical month as far as I am concerned..February should be better though because Lily Allen is coming back and so are a few others..Swift sold another 63,000 copies this week and Beyonce remained at number two selling another 51,000…Nickleback and Kanye West round out the top four…..I expect these sales to pick up in February leading into March which is going to be a huge month in music
And speaking of March music, Ms. Kelly Clarkson (who is one of my favorites) is coming out with her new album in March titled “All I Ever Wanted” on March 17th…But as for now her single “My life would suck without You” has smashed a record this week on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. And with the video debut yesterday I do not see it leaving the number one spot for a minute especially when or if the song truly becomes popular. She now has the biggest jump in the chart’s history. She will go from number 97 to 1 by selling 280,000 digital copies of the song….This will be her second number one on the chart, here are some facts provided by Billboard.com
“My Life” introduces Clarkson’s March 17 RCA album “All I Ever Wanted.” This is the second time the artist has set the record for largest jump to No. 1. She took her “American Idol” victory song, “A Moment Like This,” 52-1 on the chart dated October 5, 2002.
That mark lasted nearly five years until Maroon 5 soared 64-1 with “Makes Me Wonder” in May 2007 and had been broken four more times since, most recently by Britney Spears’ “Womanizer” (96-1).
“My Life” is Clarkson’s first No. 1 since her debut single, though she has placed six other songs in the top 10 during this time, including the No. 2-peaking “Since U Been Gone” in April 2005.
“Never Again”, the first single from her last set, the relatively poor performing “My December,” opened at No. 8 on the Hot 100 in the May 5, 2007, issue, starting with 107,000 downloads, and spending a total of two weeks in the top 10.
I am just so happy for her because she is an enormous talent which should be recognized in the industry today..I hope this new album can get her back to winning awards again..
Kelly Rowland Finally Gets Out From Under Matthew and Beyonce

Well, Well, Well, It is very good to hear this because a lot of people have been wondering for the longest time when Kelly Rowland would get from under Beyonce and her father. I mean I know that she grew up with them and he is responsible for the success of Destiny’s Child but No No No. When the three girls went single he was managing all three of them but you would have never known it by the way he represented his actual daughter. Beyonce has gotten all of the attention all of the promotion and things of this nature over the years after the group disbanded. I mean Kelly and Michelle need new management as far as I am concerned. These quotes are from That Grape Juice which is one of my fav blogs…This is the official statement that has been released to the press.

There have been rumors swirling around that she had decided to go with Mega hitmaker Simon Fuller so we shall keep our eyes open, fingers crossed, and ears perched in the comning weeks to see Rowland’s next move. I say Go On Girl with ya bad self!!!!!!!!! LOL

Man and Wife Plot to Kill Family because of Recession?????
I am personally so sick and more importantly sad to report on these types of stories all of the time…But here we go…On MSNBC.com there have been reports that a man in Los Angeles killed himself and his entire family which included his wife and five children
You will never guess why??? Because the man, named Ervin Lupoe, and his wife lost their jobs recently and they would rather die then see what was to come next in this life…..PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you reading this!!!!!!! Ok the real kicker is that the wife suggested that the couple kill themselves and their children as well, because they did not want to leave the children to a stranger…
The couple wrote a note to a local television station stating how they felt and what they were going to do as far as their lives were concerned…….PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I know times are hard but it is never this serious…And I know that I was not in this type of situation but we all need to just deal with it and thank the Lord that we are still living at all….Don’t let this recession throw you over the deep end like it did this man and his wife….

The Branch is Back!!!!!!!!!!
Michelle Branch is coming back with a new solo album titled “Everything Comes and Goes”…I am so excited because this is one of my favorite artists and I have been waiting for her to drop this country gig with the Wreckers for a while now…..I am happy that is over people I can’t even sit up here and lie….She is coming out with her new album soon……She said that she is trying to make it sound like her band so it will have more of a country feel to it…So I don’t know how much I am going to enjoy this but we shall see…Below is the album cover and a clip of her new video for her first single titled “This Way”

Ok guys for those of you who like tennis here is a rundown about what has happened so far at this year’s Australian Open Tournament…

Ok the biggest shock to ME still is the second round exit of one Ms. Venus Williams..I did not see this match but I was baffled when I read about it…I mean man….how could Venus be up in the third set of this match against a player that has no real experience in pressure situations in Grand Slam Tournaments and lose???Venus was up 5 games to 2 in the third set and she lost the match…I really do not know/understand what happened to her because this type of “choking” is not something that is allowed in the William’s household so shame on her!!!!!!!!!! I was so heartbroken after this match you guys not because she lost but because I know she did not play well and that was frustrating seeing how she ended the year in 2008 by the winning the Year Ending Championships which is the fifth biggest tournament of the year
Another big surprise to me has been how the “Bug Four” have performed in this tournament….The big four were Rafeal Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murry….Now Nadal and Federer I feel proved at this tournament that there is no big four and it is only the big two still because they are still in the tournament and Murry and Djokovic are out at this point…

Andy Murry and Novak Djokovic lost in the fourth round and the Quarterfinals of this tournament which I truly feel cements their places as the number 3 and 4 players in the world who are not ready to be as consistent of a threat to other players in Grand Slam Tournaments….The number 1 and 2 players are consistent and this is why they are in the top two positions……Djokovic and Murry still have mental work to do in my book in order to beat Nadal or Federer when the true pressure of a Grand Slam is on

I LOVE Serena Williams and do you know why???? Because she believes in herself no matter what….As a tennis player I know and understand how much this is a HUGE plus for any player….I mean she just refuses to lose and I love and adore that about her…..After watching her come back from a set down to dismiss Svetlana Kuznetsova, I realized that she has an unstoppable mentality…And the scariest part of all is..She has not played her best tennis. Yet she is into the Semi-finals of the first Grand Slam of the year…..Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jelena Jelena Welcome Back

By far the biggest story of this 2009 Australian Open has been the tremendous comeback of Jelena Dokic…I mean this girl used to be in the top four of women’s tennis as a teenager and she went away for about six years..The reason she went away was because of her insane father who was a true psycho and controlled every part of Dokic’s life both on and off the court..So much that he was banned from several tournaments that are a part of the tennis tour and had a reputation for being an extremely difficult person to deal with….He took this extraordinary talent away from the tennis world but now she is back and performing better then ever….She was an unseeded player who made it to the Quarterfinals of this tournament…..She went through many good players to gain the right to play Dinara Safina who she lost to in three tough sets on yesterday evening….The biggest thing I noticed about this entire match between the two was how Dokic was right there with Safina the entire time…I actually thought that Safina would be able to hit Dokic off of the court but she really could not….So Dokic is back and we are so glad to have her…..
